About the Niagara Chapter
A wine Club that Supports the Ontario Wine Industry 100%
The Ontario Wine Society is a not-for-profit group of wine enthusiasts operated largely through volunteer time. The Society was formed in 1991 and has continued to provide its members with engaging and varied ways to discover, appreciate and support local wines, often by comparing them to wines from other regions of the world. The events, dinners and trips are considered outstanding value for money by its members. The Society’s efforts are supported by membership fees, volunteers and Industry Partners. The club caters to any Ontario wine lover 19+. The Niagara Chapter (formed in 2003) is one of four chapters and focuses on events held primarily in the Niagara region.
For several years the Niagara Chapter has offered a bursary to support a student enrolled in the Winery and Viticulture Program at Niagara Collage Canada. This year’s Award Recipient is Sydney Neumann. In a letter , Niagara College Canada extended their “heartfelt thanks for supporting student success”.
